The team at The Lodgings love staying in individual homes. We relish the character that each new place we visit offers. From a picture perfect farmhouse, to a chic city stay for two. That individual character is what makes a holiday or a short break stand out, what makes it different from all the rest.

We also found that it could be difficult to find distinctive places to stay in the best locations, so in 2022 we set up The Lodgings. Curating and presenting historic, stylish and characterful accommodation in the perfect places, The Lodgings offers a chance to escape from the day to day and enjoy something different.

Theatre Digs

When we created The Lodgings we also wanted to help solve a problem facing the theatre industry. In the past, many people across the UK have offered low-cost theatre digs to travelling theatre professionals, providing an affordable place to sleep and eat whilst on tour. With the increase in online platforms line Airbnb and Booking.com, the market has become less and less affordable, with many householders turning away from theatre digs as an extra source of income. The result for theatre professionals, is that their budgets won’t stretch far enough and they often end up staying in poor quality accommodation.

At The Lodgings, however, we believe that we can do both, providing high quality theatre digs, whilst offering great places to stay for holiday-makers. The Lodgings is here to prove that we can offer a great experience, whether you are here for theatre or just to enjoy a break away from home.
